NGOUPAYOU MOHAMED MOUNIR

 

Born in 1995 in Douala, NGOUPAYOU, Mohamed Mounir is a young artist of Cameroonian origin. He studied Plastic Arts / Art History at the Institute of Specialty Foumban Fine Arts, Drawing-painting between 2014 and 2019, where he obtained a license and a professional Master 2. He currently teaches there in the art disciplines. With interest in Decorative Arts, he creates and paints frescoes and coverings for interior spaces. His works are a symbiosis of drawings and paintings.

ARTISTIC APPROACH 

His first exhibition was in 2013 at the Parcours Vita in Douala during the tenth anniversary of Crayon Djino organized by the Brasseries of Cameroon.

 In 2017 he was invited to the Urban Show of Douala (SUD), in 2018, he participated at the National Festival of Arts and Culture (FENAC Bertoua 2018), in 2019, participated in the training seminar on conservation and restoration of cultural heritage, and finally at the University Festival of arts and culture (UNIFAC / ENSTP 2018) where he obtains the Epis d'Or Arts-Plastiques option drawing.

 He exhibits for the preselections of the International Arts and Culture Fair 2020.

Also, since 2016 he has been working with the group of sculptors at the Musée des rois Bamoun in Foumban, using his versatility in plastic disciplines that are drawing, painting, sculpture, interior design, and computer graphics. Today, NGOUPAYOU is influenced by pop paintings.

He participated in the international exhibition of plastic arts Arbuste edition 2020 in France. In 2021, He had a successful solo exhibition at the Goethe-Institute Cameroon.
